INGREDIENTS:

  • 4 lb. pork butt
  • 1 twelve ounce can cola
  • 1 six ounce can pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • Your favorite pork rub

 

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Take your room temperature pork butt and rub all sides with your favorite dry rub (I used Traeger Pork & Poultry Rub -Apple & Honey)
  2. Mix in an aluminum pan the 3 wet ingredients and add your pork butt into the pan
  3. Place pan into the middle rack of the Halftime Smoker and cook for 3 hours or until it reaches 195 degrees
  4. Remove meat from smoker and remove from the wet juices in the pan
  5. Wrap in butcher paper to rest for 30 minutes, unwrap and shred the pork and add back to the wet mixture in pan
  6. You're ready to serve!
